David Collins

David Collins was born in 1953 in Reading, Berkshire. He studied composition at RNCM, Manchester and also at Camridge and York Universities. David has lived in the Lancaster area since 1991. Recently he has concentrated mainly on chamber music: sonatas for string instruments, pieces for solo piano, two pianos, solo flute and also choral music - 'Landscape of Memory', a setting of poems by Kathleen Raine, was perfomed in 2009 by Allegri Singers (based at Levens).
